Chart notes
CORNELL vied three deep into the first turn then took a stalking position in the two path outside a rival, challenged for the lead under asking past the three-eighths pole, dueled into the lane, took over in upper stretch and maintained a short lead over MALIBU ROCKS to the wire. MALIBU ROCKS vied for the lead between rivals then cleared and moved to the inside around the clubhouse turn, showed the way up the backstretch, met the bid from CORNELL past the three-eighths pole, dueled into the lane, relinquished the lead in upper stretch and stayed on gamely through the final furlong. NEW KING bobbled at the start, showed speed inside a trio of rivals then rated along the rail, stalked up the backstretch, continued from the fence before tipping out to the three path late on the far turn, chased within striking distance with a furlong left to run but finished evenly late. INDISPENSABLE chased two wide into the first turn then began to pull and had to steady when running up on heels around the bend, continued in range two then thee wide on the second bend but weakened in the lane. TRACKER bobbled shortly after the start, vied four deep into the first turn then dropped back a bit to chase and moved into the three path, went four wide into the second bend, started to weaken and moved inward to enter the stretch in the two path and had little left for the drive. UPLIFT got put in tight between rivals early, chased along the rail, trailed up the backstretch, rounded the far turn two then three wide and was eased through the lane and walked off.
