Chart notes
EL MATADOR settled off the early pace while racing two wide, edged closer three wide around the far turn, closed outside, took over near the sixteenth pole and inched ahead. RAPSCALLION prompted the pace two wide, took over near the five-sixteenths marker, led to the sixteenth pole and fought on inside of the winner. OLD FLAG (IRE) raced off the pace three wide, continued on the left lead in the lane and rallied for the show. POLIGLOTA broke in air and was off several lengths in arrears, trailed inside early, advanced four wide around the far turn and had a mild stretch rally. MY GREAT ILLUSION saved ground in range, tipped two wide in upper stretch and was one-paced through the lane. LAST POST set the pace along the rail and weakened through the stretch.
