Chart notes
AZZURRA floated out three wide entering the first turn, advanced after entering the backstretch to engage MOONLIT SHADOW for the lead, seized control mid-way around the turn, saved ground entering the lane and kept clear under steady encouragement. SWEET WILLEMINA was allowed to settle out of the gate and saved ground around the first turn, sat off the pace through early stages then picked up the tempo entering the far turn, sustained a steady bid through the lane and secured second best. MOONLIT SHADOW sped to the lead out of the gate and led the way around the first turn, briefly matched strides with AZZURA then failed to move on with the eventual winner past the mid-way point on the far turn, ran on two wide into upper stretch then flattened out. DECO STRONG secured inside position around the first turn and continued tp track in range of the early front runners, weakened off the top pair around the far turn and had no further response when called upon in the lane. BABY MAN raced two to three wide around the first turn, showed interest in the opening quarter then steadily faltered.
