Chart notes
RESPIRATOR settled inside, awaited room on the turn, angled out finding a seam into the stretch then surged clear. MAGIC EXPRESS earned a narrow advantage inside, was collared again in midstretch and continued gamely to the finish. CONFIRMED STAR vied outside to the eighth pole and faltered. BRUSHBACK dropped well off the pace then passed rivals along the inside. COALVILLE rated just off the pace four wide and faded on the turn. BURN THE EVIDENCE prompted the pace three wide for half a mile and gave way. CAVENDISH raced close up very wide down the backstretch and stopped. TREBLE CLEF lacked speed four wide and trailed throughout.
