TUSCAN SKY stalked outside of the pace setter, was roused to offer a bid passing the half mile pole, sparred two wide around the far turn, forged a narrow advantage in upper stretch, clung to that margin through midstretch and inched away in the final sixteenth. NASH showed the way around the first turn, was confronted by an outer bidder with a half mile to go, dueled with that one around the far turn, fought on after being headed in upper stretch, but failed to regain even terms before yielding late. HAWKS CREEK was no match for the top pair and got outrun.
