Chart notes
BELLAVALENCIA stalked the pace down the backstretch, rallied three wide to make the lead midway on the turn, set the balance of the pace, dug in under right then left handed urging and proved best under brisk handling. NOT TODAY never far back, moved up three wide into the turn, kept on but finished second best. BANK BUSTER away alertly, set a pressured pace along the inside into the turn, remained a sharp threat until deep stretch then faded. SHARP LIFE passed tiring rivals. MY D'VALENTINE well placed, failed to offer the needed response. SHADY BABY bobbled outward in front at the start, prompted the pace two wide into the turn then weakened. SURPRISED GEM was no factor. PER RULING FROM HIWU, SHARP LIFE WAS DISQUALIFIED FOR POSITIVE TEST.
