Chart notes
ARTISTIC REASON settled inside, bid to the front at the quarter pole then held rival safe in the stretch. IT'S GAME TIME stalked the pacesetters three wide, bid on the final turn but could not get by the winner. ANGELUS WARRIOR outrun early, advanced inside then made a gradual late gain. HURRICANE HIGHWAY dropped far behind inside then showed some late energy. LOOK OUT LAMBO chased off the leaders, moved briefly closer on the final turn then weakened. HORNBEAM trailed early then passed rivals without menacing. MAXIM MOMENT hustled up to duel inside, was finished after three quarters. SMARTHUMOR alternated for the lead outside in the opening half mile and gave way. SEVEN IS A BREEZE dropped back early and was always outrun. HEFFNER lacked speed and weakened steadily. LORD MIO broke awkwardly, rushed up then stopped abruptly.
