Chart notes
ROCKET DRAGON pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, came around the turn in the two path, dueled in upper stretch, drifted in at the eighth pole and drew off from there. OUTOFTHEDARK raced off the pace on the inside through the opening quarter, came around the bend in the three path, began a bid entering the stretch and improved position. INDIO MARA hopped up leaving the gate, recovered and led the way on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend, was forced to check sharply at the eighth pole when ROCKET DRAGON came into his lane and chased on to the wire. BAHAMIAN NATIVE veered out at the start, tracked the leader on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and weakened in the lane. SIXTEEN CIGARETTES chased the pace setter on the outside early, navigated the turn from the two path and faded in the stretch. MY NAME'S JEFF hit the gate and was blocked at the start, raced off the pace on the outside up the backstretch, came around the turn in the two path and made no bid. THE RIDER OF HORSE SIX, INDIO MARA, CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST HORSE SEVEN, ROCKET DRAGON, CITING INTERFERENCE AT THE EIGHTH POLE. A STEWARDS INQUIRY WAS MADE INTO THE SAME INCIDENT. UPON REVIEW, HORSE SEVEN, ROCKET DRAGON, WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED THIRD FOR INTERFERENCE.
