Chart notes
HARTSBEATLIKTHUNDR stalked the pace two wide, took over near the five-sixteenths pole, drew clear in midstretch and held firm under a drive. BARRY THE BUILDER bumped at the start, raced in range inside, angled three wide near the quarter pole and rallied outside to gain the place late. PLEASE BABY was pinched back at the start, trailed three wide early, advanced three wide around the far turn, reached near even terms outside of the winner late on that bend but was outfinished between foes. AMERICAN DAY raced off the pace two wide, advanced four wide around the far turn but evened out in the stretch. DECISIVE PRIDE was bumped at the start, raced off the pace three and four wide and never threatened. KOHAKU set the pace inside and retreated two wide around the far turn. PARADISE DRIVE was outrun inside. STEPHEN B GOOD chased the pace four wide and came up empty in the lane. OVER THE SURFACE chased the pace three wide between foes, checked early on the backstretch and had no response around the far turn. SOUTHERN CIVILITY raced up close five wide and was through after a half.
