Chart notes
HELDISH , brushed then pinched back leaving the starting gate, regrouped and edged up between rivals to take a stalking spot into the turn, advanced two to three wide into the lane, sustained under a drive, forged past SWIFTY DEVIL near the sixteenth marker and drew clear. SWIFTY DEVIL , bumped at the start, sped clear early and drafted in to secure the rail into the turn, set a sharp pace, remained clear under a drive leaving mid stretch, could not contain the winner but kept on willingly to the wire. ALWAYS GAMBLING stumbled inward at the break, chased four wide and between rivals into the turn, remained between foes past the five sixteenths, shifted out for the drive and churned on to gain the show. AMITY ROAD , five deep nearing the half mile pole, pursued four wide outside foes mid turn then faded in the final furlong. JOHN HALL , inside rivals pursuing the pace, came up empty. THATAWAY bobbled inward at the break brushing with HELDISH, raced three wide and between foes early, dropped in a path while still between horses mid turn then faded.
