Chart notes
MOONTAP stalked the pace to the far turn, rallied three wide to take the lead turning for home, lugged in bumping runner-up nearing the eighth pole and drew clear late. FABIOLA PRINCESS prompted the pace down the backside, rallied to duel on the lead through the turn, was bumped by winner in the lane and kept on gamely. PEARLINTHEROUGH trailed to the final bend and passed weakened rivals coming home. BEING CREATIVE set the pace for a half mile and graduallly gave way. MYRA FLEENER was not a factor. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN AND UPON REVIEW DISQUALIFIED MOONTAP AND PLACED HER SECOND.
