Chart notes
SPORTING THE GOLD chased the early pace on the outside, made a four wide bid by the quarter pole, then ranged up on the outside of the pacesetter and had a long drive and got up late to prove best. LUCKY DANCER set the early pace while clear and in the three path, remained in the three path on the turn and was confronted off the turn, dug in gamely in the drive but was caught late to just miss. CAUTELOSO was reserved early, came six wide into the lane and closed well on the outside. SILK PRINCE was off a step slow, then chased the pace two wide on the turn, swung out five wide leaving the turn and finished well but needed more. SYLVIA I AM was well placed on the inside but lacked the needed bid and faded late. HE'S FANCY FREE tracked the early pace three wide, made a two wide bid on the turn but flattened out. QUACKENBUSH was off slowly, saved ground on the turn and had no rally.
