Chart notes
APPEALINGTOTHE EYE stalked the pacesetter outside, took over into the far turn, brushed with runner-up several times through the stretch and was just up. AMALFI LADY slipped through inside after the half, was in tight at the top of the lane, brushed with winner and lost the nod. GORMLEY GIRL settled outside, bid into the stretch then went evenly late. ISTRIA trailed for five furlongs, bid very wide into the stretch then flattened out. JOY'S PRIDE dropped back early inside and lacked a response. MOONLITE IN HEAVEN moved clear early, vied briefly then stopped abruptly. A claim of foul by the second finisher against the winner for interference i the stretch was dismissed. LOOKINATLIGHTENING was ordered a late scratch at the gate on the advise of the track veterinarian.
