Chart notes
MISS STONES quickly took over while angling to the inside and rated the pace, came under pressure toward the three eighths pole, contested the edge nearest the rail on the far turn, drifted leaving the turn but dug in under steady encouragement and just lasted. LIGHTNIN RUNNER stalked off the rail, challenged toward the three eighths pole and raced at a close disadvantage two deep on the far turn, was carried out entering the stretch but dug in under strong handling and just lasted for second while outfinished for the win. DECO STRONG raced off the rail the first turn then eased out entering the backstretch, gave chase past the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn at the rail, dug in from the head of the lane and just missed second in a strong finish. AZZURRA was pinched back at the start and rounded the first turn about the five path, left the turn outside and picked up the chase from the seven sixteenths pole, improved in the four path on the far turn and ran evenly in the lane. MOONLIT SHADOW broke awkwardly and in then stalked from the three path the first turn, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn off the rail then flattened inside the sixteenth pole. FEE was forced inward leaving the gate, rounded the first turn in the three path, picked up the chase toward the seven sixteenths pole but weakened in the three path on the far turn. SHE'S DANCING saved ground on the first turn, gave chase past the seven sixteenths pole but showed little response and was eased in the stretch.
