Chart notes
QUINCY CAFE vied for the lead in the four path, was roused in the three path passing the quarter, swung out to the six path entering the stretch, and drifted out in the final furlong while drawing clear. MAJOR KING prompted the leading pair in the five path, was cued in the four path passing the three-eighths, got floated out to the seven path at the top of the lane, hung on his left lead, but kept on for place. WEDNESDAYNIGHT LAD got bumped by an inner foe at the start, dueled for the lead while just off the rail, was cued from the two path turning into the stretch, but evened out in the final furlong for show. ENSIGN SKIP chased inside but made no impact. MANNIX (IRE) bobbled and bumped an outer foe at the start, tracked in the three path, was coaxed in the two path passing the three-eighths pole, but flattened from the four path in the stretch. EYES OF CHAMPION raced off the pace from out in the six path going into the turn and never menaced. PER RULING EAD2024-21 & EAD2024 FROM HIWU QUINCY CAFE WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST TO UNPLACED FOR A POSITIVE TEST.
