Chart notes
MACKMAN pressed the issue up front off the inside, moved to challenge second turn, dueled into the lane, drew away steadily through the lane under right the the left handed pressure. CROSSING showed the way along the inside, firmly rated onto the backstretch, continued to set the pace into the far turn, responded when the winner came alongside soon after, dueled into the lane, could not match strides with the winner in the run to the wire, clearly second best. RELAMPAGO VERDE void of early foot in trailing off the inside, two path second turn, dropped to the inside for the drive and rallied up the rail for the show, not a threat to the top pair. ROCKET NIGHT off a step slow, raced back for three quarters inside, improved position through the stretch without posing a serious threat. FIRST OF HIS NAME forwardly placed while racing three wide and between horses, began to weaken midway on the final turn. BRIO covered up while inside of horses through the first turn, remained in the pocket up the backstretch and into the far turn, came up empty when clear late in the second bend. MOUNT CRAIG prompted the issue up front while four wide through the first turn,continued outside, four wide again into the far turn, stopped in the drive, crossed the wire wrapped up.
