Chart notes
SPEEDY BOLT raced off the pace between rivals, chased on the turn, moved up entering the stretch, bumped with NEIGH DUDE, then rallied between horses, dueled with that rival in the final sixteenth, dug in gamely late and prevailed. NEIGH DUDE raced three wide off the pace, came four wide into the lane, bumped with SPEEDY BOLT, rallied farthest outside, dug in gamely in the final sixteenth and dueled to the wire. ON THE COME UP showed good early speed, dueled into the stretch, dug in to midstretch, then weakened. KATE'S GOLDEN DUDE stalked the pacesetter, bid at the quarter pole, dueled to midstretch and weakened. WORD ON A WING steadied at the start, trailed the field, came four wide into the lane and closed belatedly. QUICK RETURN was off a bit slow, raced off the pace inside, continued inside in the stretch and had no rally.
