Chart notes
AMERICAN SYMPHONY rated the pace inside, came under pressure leaving the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn near the rail and held well under steady stretch handling. PLAY IT LOUD settled back off the rail, bid nearing the three eighths pole and steadily improved, raced at the rail on the far turn, eased out entering the stretch and dueled through later yards for second. PAYMENGOLD stalked off the rail, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole, raced close off the rail on the far turn but flattened stride inside the sixteenth pole. DON'TCALLTOOEARLY raced well back off the rail for a half mile, picked up the chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole and raced in the five path on the far turn, left the turn outside and passed some rivals. VAGABOND VIRGIN checked from between horses soon after the start then settled about the three path, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole but weakened in the three path on the far turn. ROAD SLEW was shuffled back early then mostly saved ground. ARROGANT RIDER raced well back off the rail, eased out leaving the second turn but showed little response.
