Chart notes
RUN TO DAYLIGHT rated a slim early lead, was urged clear past the quarter pole, widened under steady handling then taken in hand late. THE ILLUSIONIST gave chase, raced near the rail on the turn and settled for second best. ASSERT DOMINANCE gave chase through the backstretch, raced blocked at the rail through the turn, eased out entering the stretch and finished well to take third later yards. SMOKIN SMITTY was bumped leaving the gate then gave chase, raced near the rail on the turn and flattened in the lane. WHITE PIGEON chased outside, raced in the five path on the turn and showed little in the lane. SPIRIT OF WINDSOR broke awkwardly and out and made contact with Smokin Smitty, engaged in close early chase but dropped back past the quarter pole and weakened. PERSONAL FINANCE had a brief early lead then gave chase, raced in the four path on the turn and weakened in the stretch. VIOLENT ROCK gave chase, raced at the rail into the turn, angled to the outside leaving the turn and showed little more.
