Chart notes
AMERICAN SMOOTH stalked the pace three wide in good position, responded through the lane and rallied clear under urging. CAPTAIN SCOTTY was on a contested pace outside TIMEHASCOME to kick clear in the far turn then could not handle the winner in the lane. ONE SON OF A CHIEF stalked the pace from along the inside and lacked a final closing bid. RICKEY B improved position four wide while not a threat. DEANOS CAPE moved up four wide while not a threat. TIMEHASCOME was on the early pace from along the inside and weakened. SENOR JOBIM followed the pace three wide and weakened. BROADWAY PETE was always back.
