Chart notes
VARNISHED was allowed the settle in the back trio while three wide in the early furlongs, down the backstretch before moving up on the far turn while five wide, dug in gamely in the home stretch and was up just in time. WITT'S TAQUITO trailed in the early furlongs, continued to save ground heading into the backstretch while remaining outside a rival towards the back, then moved up while four wide to take command at the three eighths pole, held the lead in the early stretch then was caught at the wire and was second best. SHAMAYIM was allowed to settle while two wide, then steadied off heels, continued to saved ground while racing at the back, then came out five wide leaving the far turn to menace in the stretch and closed well for the show prize. COURAGEOUSLY tracked the pace from the two path throughout while in a steady drive, rallied in the final furlongs and needed more in the end. THICK HAZE raced in the middle duo while two wide throughout the first mile, was in steady drive heading into the final turn, rallied from the four path in the home stretch and came up empty in the end. WAR CHEST raced in the middle pack from the inside throughout, then settled back on the final turn, re bid in the home stretch but it was to no avail. HARD LOVE led the way from the inside throughout the first mile, continued to stalk the new leader throughout the final turn before tiring in the home stretch. BLUE BOON tracked the pace from the inside, was in a long drive heading into the final half, bid for the lead at the three eighths then flattened out in the final furlongs.
