SUBROGATE moved up under urging on the outside then chased the pace, went around the turn in the three path, gained to make an outside bid in upper stretch, remained on his inside lead while on even terms for the lead into the final furlong then took the advantage, remained on his inside lead to the finish and held under strong urging. RADIO RED was loaded with the assistance of a blindfold while reluctant to load, raced towards the rear under urging, shifted from the rail to the three path while under extra left-rein pressure outside the three-eighths pole, came six wide into the stretch, rallied outside in the final furlong and closed fast to just miss while clear for the place. EXCELLENT TIMING broke through the front of the gate prior to the start but remained in the stall, angled in while going to the front, showed the way with a clear advantage through quick fractions, raced inside to the two path on the turn, was challenged while under a drive in upper stretch, lost the lead just inside the furlong marker and was outfinished while clear for the show. BE THE BOSS was ridden along off the pace, went four wide on the turn, came five wide into the stretch and lacked the needed response then was reported to have bled. KINGDOM was hustled from the gate, showed speed then chased the pace, climbed some outside the half-mile pole, saved ground on the turn, came out into the stretch, drifted out near the furlong marker and tired. KOOL KATHMANDU settled off the pace, dropped back late on the backstretch, moved from the three path to the two path early on the turn, came four wide into the stretch and failed to respond. DAUFUSKIE ISLAND raced towards the rear, steadied briefly off heels near the half-mile pole, was roused three then four wide on the turn and also failed to respond.
