Chart notes
LEAP DAY set the pace in the two path, made a bid to open up on the t urn and then drew off to prove much the best. RANGER REX stalked the pace four wide and proved to be no match for the winner while clearly second best. M G M'S LUCKY was settled early, three wide on the turn and came five wide off the turn and finished willingly to best the rest. HEART TO BEAT stalked the pace in between rivals and weakened. DIXIEMAGIC passed the tiring rivals. FACETIOUS broke in a tangle and bumped a rival at the start, then was four wide on the turn and tired. D C GUN RUNNER was settled early, wide on the turn and was not a threat. TAKEITTOTHEBANK was off slowly and bumped at the start, not a factor. FLAG THE FOOTNOTE showed speed from the inside and faltered. STEWARDS INQUIRY CONCERNING THE START, AFTER REVIEW THEY DISQUALIFIED FACETIOUS FROM SIXTH AND PLACED EIGHTH FOR BUMPING A RIVAL AT THE START.
