Chart notes
CINCO GAL showed the way from the inside, cleared the turn and held sway down the lane to prevail gate to wire. CATHOLIC SUE saved ground early, then came out four wide leaving the bend, brushed inner foe, dug in gamely to gain second position in the late stretch and was best for the place prize. ELSIE JANE tracked the pace from the inside and while maintaining second position then bid on the turn, lacked the winning rally in the stretch and gave way in the end missing the place prize. LADY DRILLER chased the leader from the inside into the turn, was brushed by an outer rival at the top of the stretch and came up evenly in the end. ROMINA C settled along the inside and was no threat. SNOWBIRD was unhurried early and no factor.
