Chart notes
GENTLEMAN GERRY settled in range inside, made a rail bid midway down the backstretch, took over near the seven-sixteenths marker, vied inside around the far turn, was headed in upper stretch, battled on inside and regained command late. EUPHORIA STAR raced well back two wide, swung five wide near the quarter pole and closed outside. FLATTER ME raced off the early pace three wide, advanced four wide around the far turn, had aim in upper stretch, ran on but was outkicked late. MANNIX (IRE) stalked the pace two wide, dueled around the far turn, led through much of the stretch but weakened late. EYES OF CHAMPION set the pace in the three path, dropped back around the far turn, shifted further out in upper stretch and improved position. MIDWAY MISCHIEF saved ground and failed to menace. SAMARITANO chased the pace three wide and faded in the drive. IMPRESSIVE SPEED was outrun inside. ENSIGN SKIP was reluctant to load, broke a bit awkwardly and trailed throughout.
