Chart notes
SON OF THUNDER came out at the break, chased the pace well off the inner rail, was taken to the five path leaving the turn, gained the lead near the sixteenth pole and drew clear. KING ZOG disputed the pace outside BAY BOSS and weakened late. BAY BOSS disputed the pace inside KING ZOG and gave way late. DRIVE TRAIN , sluggish to begin, swung to the seven path in upper stretch and passed tired horses. MY CAIRO KID , a forward factor outside horses for a half mile, was fanned six deep turning for home and gave way in upper stretch. KNOCKOUT GUY raced along the inner rail on the turn and was not a factor. DELTA DELTA , squeezed back at the start, was outrun.
