K. C. CHIEF showed the way in the two path, was cued into the far turn, drew clear on his left lead in upper stretch, and held sway. COMMANDANT bumped with an inner foe at the start, pulled in the four path around the first turn to prompt the pace in the five path down the backside, was taken back passing the half, came under coaxing from the four path going into the far turn, floated out to the nine path entering the stretch, and rallied for place. DEAR DAD bumped with an inner foe at the start, stalked in the three path, was cued into the far turn, swung from the four path into the lane, drifted out under left handed urging passing the sixteenth, but kept on for show. SHANKAR tracked in the four path, floated out to the six path under a drive turning into the lane, but drifted in while flattening on his left lead. CAPTAIN ANTHONY bumped with an outer foe at the start, trailed in the three path and never threatened. HOMER JONES bumped with an outer foe at the start, rated inside but never menaced.
