Chart notes
HAPPY CHAMP settled in the three path the first turn, bid nearing the three eighths pole and improved four wide on the far turn, dug in leaving the turn and got up the final yards. MASAI MAN stalked two deep then challenged at the three eighths pole, took the nod approaching the quarter pole, dueled clear nearing the head of the lane and dug in leaving the far turn, but was caught while flattening stride the final yards. CAPE LOOKOUT saved ground well back from early contention, started his bid leaving the three eighths pole, raced near the rail on the far turn, eased out entering the stretch and finished well to clear third the final yards. ROYAL THUNDER rated the pace inside, was met and dueled leaving the three eighths pole, remained close at the rail on the far turn but dropped back approaching the head of the lane and flattened mid-stretch. SETTLEMENT DATE raced off the rail the first turn, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn off the rail and flattened mid-stretch. LUCKYTOBEINAMERICA saved ground, picked up the chase from the three eighths pole but flattened in the four path on the far turn. FEARNOUGHT rounded the first turn about the four path and showed little response through the backstretch. MISTER WINSTON rounded the opening turn about the three path then faded through the backstretch.
