SOPHIA'S ROSE was bumped at the start, trailed the field, moved up inside on the turn, rallied on the rail in the stretch run, closed steadily, dueled late and edged away for the win. SHELBY SHORTSTOP was bumped at the start, showed good early speed, turned back a bid from ABUNDANT LIFE, edged away in upper stretch, then dug in gamely to the finish. APRIL CLOVER stumbled at the start, chased on the inside, angled out entering the stretch, rallied outside and just missed for the place spot. ABUNDANT LIFE chased close up two wide, bid on the turn and weakened in the final furlong. UNIVERSAL DESIGN chased four wide early, three wide on the turn and tired. VELVET VIXEN was bumped at the start, chased three wide, chased on the turn and gave way.
