Chart notes
SLEEPWALKER saved ground in range, angled three wide near the quarter pole, took the lead leaving the eighth pole and held firm between foes. EASTERN EMPRESS (GB) saved ground off the pace, advanced four wide around the far turn, continued on the left lead in the lane, rallied outside but could not reel in the winner. ENDURING stalked the pace two wide in the clear, bid between foes in midstretch but was outkicked in the final furlong. BRITISH EMPRESS set a fast pace along the rail, led to midstretch and weakened. GILDED EDGE played no factor while racing three and four wide. STREET VIEW saved ground off the rail, made progress at the rail in upper stretch then dropped back while lacking a clear path in the final furlong. ARZAG failed to menace while racing two and three wide. LUNA LOVE was outrun while racing two and three wide. A OBJECTION LODGED BY THE TRAINER OF EASTERN EMPRESS AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH WAS NOT ALLOWED.
