Chart notes
JOHN HALL , taken to rate inside and off the trio of dueling leaders, crept closer under coaxing past the five sixteenths, worked through a seam to the inside of MONCRIEF leaving mid stretch, took over under left handed asks a sixteenth out, edged clear and held firm. MONCRIEF broke a step slow, rushed up between foes soon after, dropped inside and gained a slim advantage after a furlong, was hounded by a pair of outer rivals, entered the stretch two wide, spurted clear under pressure in mid stretch then kept on gamely to the wire. CASINO TRICKS held a short lead early outside runners then was involved three deep dueling into and around the turn, shifted out a bit wider as the leader cleared, gave hard chase through the final furlong but hung late. BOSS MAN J J eased back off the leaders in the opening sixteenth, raced between runners into the turn, swung out wide and offered a mild response. KBCYA LATER got involved in a duel between runners soon after the break, stayed on to the quarter pole, failed to kick on with the leaders past the three sixteenths and faded. SWITZER , three deep off the early pace, shifted in and failed to respond. TALL ORDER , away a bit awkwardly, rushed up then angled out soon after, chased the leading trio while in the clear early on, angled well wide and gave way.
