Chart notes
COMMANDER REX led around the first turn, vied for the lead, fell back into the second turn, came again and drew off past the eighth pole. EASY BIG BOY raced close to the pace, angled out on the second turn and closed well to get up for place while no threat to the winner. C B'S FLAT OUT stumbled at the start, moved up along the rail on the backstretch to vie, drew clear into the turn, tired in the drive, fell back and settled for show. ASSUMPTION was rated back at the start, void of early speed, went widest in the drive and offered a mild response to improve position. TRUE DOMINUS showed speed to the second turn, tired and gave way. WOODS OF CONGAREE failed to contend.
