Chart notes
HORNBEAM forced the pace outside, edged ahead nearing the eighth pole and pulled clear in the final furlong. MUCHO MACHO EDDIE led along the inside to the stretch and continued gamely. SCREEN SAVER well placed behind pair of leaders then flattened out in the stretch. SUIGU STAR trailed far behind then caught rivals without menacing. WE BE THERE offered brief bid outside into the far turn then faded. HURRICANE HIGHWAY lagged far behind and was never in contention. COBBLE ROAD saved ground off the pace and gave way on the final turn.
