HAPPY'S SMILE broke in at the start, moved up then was well placed just off the pace, came under urging while inside to the two path for most of the turn, shifted to the three then four path late on that bend, chased into upper stretch, gained to make a bid approaching the furlong marker, battled into the final sixteenth and earned the place while no match for the winner. FOCUS POCUS stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid with a half-mile run, vied in the two then three path on the turn, gained the lead outside the five-sixteenths pole, led under a drive into the final furlong then was overtaken while clear for the show. TROUBLED LUCK dropped back early then was urged along on the outside, moved from the three path to the rail midway through the turn, came out into the stretch and failed to threaten. DEVILS ARROW came inward at the start, settled under some urging, went two then three wide for most of the turn, angled four then five wide late on that bend and failed to respond. TOP OF THE TABLE tracked the pace down the backstretch, was urged along passing the half-mile pole, chased three then four wide for most of the turn, moved to the five then six path late on that bend and tired. BETTER BE SMART moved in while going to the front, showed the way in hand, was asked under threat while inside on the turn, lost the advantage outside the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back into the stretch and capitulated. PINSTRIPEPIZZO settled on the outside, dropped back four wide on the turn and failed to respond.
