Chart notes
ROMAN CANDLE raced with the pace and took the nod into the backstretch, dueled at mostly even terms through the backstretch and on the far turn, drew clear mid-stretch and widened later yards. PHILMARY CASTLE raced with the early pace inside, gave chase and dueled at mostly even terms through the backstretch and rounding the far turn, remained a factor in the upper stretch but dropped back mid-stretch and settled for second best. WOODEN SHIPS saved ground on the first turn, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn at the rail then flattened in the lane. KEY TO THE CASTLE came away awkwardly and exchanged contact with Floridified, rounded the opening turn in the three path, gave chase passing the three eighths pole and raced in the four path on the far turn. OFFICER CALLY showed little response through the backstretch. FLORIDIFIED became fractious in the gate then broke through prior the start, exchanged contact with Key To The Castle at the break, rated close inside on the first turn, gave chase into the backstretch but faded leaving the five sixteenths pole.
