Chart notes
NIGHT TERROR sped to the lead at the start, led the way under pressure then vied for the top spot around the turn, shook free to a slight edge in upper stretch, dug in gamely under strong pressure, regained control of the lead, drifted out and held clear. DAY MONEY was forwardly placed up the backstretch, continued in close range late on the turn while lacking a clear path, drifted off the rail which caused BILLY BOY ROCKET to steady, launched an inside bid entering upper stretch, raced in striking distance but got outfinished. PURE CRYSTAL raced up close in early stages, vied outside of NIGHT TERROR around the turn, continued in striking distance into the final furlong but could reach the winner. BILLY BOB ROCKET tracked in close contention, raced between foes, got pushed into by DAY MONEY and forced to check late on the turn, lost momentum, shifted out at the head of the lane, shifted in and flattened out. LURCH raced in range up the backstretch, continued in close range positioned three deep late on the turn, ran on in upper stretch then gave way. PRIZED TAP lacked speed, raced in the back and had no response in the lane. AFTER RIDERS OBJECTION DAY MONEY WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM SECOND AND PLACED FOURTH FOR CAUSING INTERFERENCE TO BILLY BOB ROCKET LATE ON THE TURN
