Chart notes
DR. SOULFIRE dropped back early, passed a rival past the half-mile pole, advanced along the rail through the turn, roused into the stretch, surged clear midstretch and stayed strong to the wire. VORPAL forwardly placed inside rivals, tipped out late on the bend, steered out further and launched a bid in the lane but got outkicked by the winner. PETESOLDFASHIONED chased between rivals, lost his path past the quarter pole, angled down to the inside in the stretch and rallied for third. BLAME GEORGE dueled for the lead from inside, came off the rail into the stretch, lost command at the eighth pole and weakened in deep stretch. PHOENICIAN GHOST dueled outside BLAME GEORGE, fought three wide into the stretch and weakened in the late stages. PINEHURST (IRE) bobbled leaving the gate, stalked five then four deep up the backstretch, rounded the bend four then three wide, got floated out a bit at the top of the lane and weakened. QUAGMIRE MAGIC followed the top pair in range three deep between rivals, navigated the tur three then four wide and weakened down the lane. SKY CLOUD chased four deep between rivals and got crowded a bit near the half-mile pole, exited the backstretch four wide, angled down to the rail and had little left for the stretch run.
