Chart notes
CASCADE CRUISER slow early to be the trailer for a half mile, commence a steady rally entering the turn, swept up five wide to engage the leaders in upper stretch, drifted in midway down the lane, was carried out late in the drive while dueling with the runner-up and prevailed in the final strides. HERCULES set a pressured pace throughout, disposed of the pressers at the top of the stretch, responded gamely when challenged again by the winner in mid-stretch, drifted out inside the fianl sixteenth and was nailed on the wire in great effort. DANVILLE tracked the leaders the entire trip and rallied mildly in the lane to be along for the show. HARD TO FATHOM stalked the pacesetters through the final turn to be well placed turning for hoem, kept-on evenly down the lane, briefly held up off heels in the stretch after having evened out and finished just that way. SHARP STICK pressed the pace for three-quarters and weakened in the lane. EPIC KNIGHT raced mid-pack in the first turn, briefly taken up off heels straightening out for the run down the backside and went evenly from there. BONS TEMPS ROULE was not a factor. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN INVOLVING CASCADE CRUISER AND HARD TO FATHOM, UPON REVIEW THEY MADE NO CHANGE.
