Chart notes
BUCCHANERA showed early speed racing three wide, steadied when rated off the leaders at the nine sixteenths marker, then stalked, bid three wide on the turn, gained a short lead, edged away, drew clear nearing the sixteenth pole, then held sway to the wire. MADE BIRDIE raced off the pace, chased two wide on the turn, came five wide into the lane, rallied outside and was gaining on the leader late. SUBWAY SUSIE was outrun early, advanced at the quarter pole, came two wide into the lane and rallied inside late. AMY MULE was off slowly, outrun early, moved up at the quarter pole, came six wide into the lane and closed belatedly outside. CAPTURE THIS stalked early on, then chased on the turn and lacked a bid. SPECIAL AFFAIR raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the turn and failed to threaten. ARMY OF THOUGHTS dueled inside for the lead, dueled with the winner to midstretch, then drifted out while tiring. DERBY GIFT dueled two wide for command, dropped back nearing the quarter pole, then steadied behind ARMY OF THOUGHTS in midstretch while tiring.
