Chart notes
ROAD RACER drifted outwardly at the start, pursued the pace while two wide, bid between rivals on the turn, then found more in the late stretch to surpass inner foes and be up in the final strides. TWENTY CINCO was away alertly to lead the way into the turn, was in a long drive in the late stretch then was caught by an outer foe and was second best. MIDNIGHT HUMOR moved up while two wide to bid from the inside on the turn, gained second position in the upper stretch then was out finished in the by an outer foe in the final yards and was best for the show prize. DESIRABLE EDGE chased the pace while three wide, then bid on the turn with inner rivals, could not retain bid at the top of the stretch, angled inward and continued to give way in the end. HEATS HERO raced along the inside at an even pace throughout and needed rally. PROUD SAMARITAN trailed behind the field early, then bid from the inside leaving the turn and was no threat. GUS CAUSE settled at the back of the field and failed to rally.
