Chart notes
COLONEL KLINK was allowed to settle off the early pace, let out a notch and quickly advanced to poke a head in front at the quarter pole, widened to a clear lead turning for home, angled in, drew off under a drive then wrapped up late. OCEAN RIDE rated just off the early pace, was ridden along three wide around the turn, swung four paths wide into upper stretch, sustained a steady bid and finished second best. ROCK CITY ROCKET was forwardly placed, moved up to challenge three wide at the quarter pole, kept on through the lane and cleared the rest. HERITAGE PARK was forwardly placed from the onset, moved up near the half mile marker to challenge for the lead, vied around the turn then gave way. HULEN raced in contention on the rail in the opening quarter, flattened around the turn and continued to tire in the drive. SHIP BOSS led the way in early stages, vied for the lead past the half mile marker, battled on around the turn then retreated. AMERICAN POSSE raced wide into the stretch and never moved into contention.
