Chart notes
MIDNIGHT MAMMOTH came away alertly then pressed GAVEA from outside, give his cue early on the far turn, kicked clear at the five-sixteenths pole, asked left handed at the top of the lane, switch to the right hand with a furlong left to run and remained clear under urging. SMART MO chased keenly in hand around the first turn, continued on the inside stalking the pace into the far turn, tipped out around the bend, took aim off the rail entering the lane, could not make any headway on the winner in the final furlong but was clearly second best. GAVEA coaxed to the front from inside, set the pace under pressure to the far turn, lost command past the three furlong marker, yielded to the winner midway around the bend, weakened in the lane but managed to save third. I DON'T GET IT tucked inside at the rear, made progress two to three wide on the far turn and could not threaten. LOW EXPECTATIONS chased three wide around the clubhouse turn, rounded the far turn in the four path before getting floated five wide into the lane and lacked a response when called upon. GHAZAALY gave chase from the four path through the first turn, trailed three then two wide on the far turn before angling out approaching the stretch and could not make an impact. DON'T SWEAR DAVE raced between rivals before taking a brief hold shortly after the start, chased two then three wide around the first turn, stayed off the rail through the second bend, spun four wide into the lane and weakened.
