Chart notes
STYLISH SUE was clear early inside, led in the two path throught the stretch, came in at the eight and bothered a rival, then lasted under a strong drive. SAKE (FR) stalked the pace inside, bid at the three-sixteenths pole, bid inside and was checked at the eighth pole. UMEBOSHI pressed the pace in the two path, then was not a match in the drive. ALYBAER stalked the pace in the three path, bid at the three-eighths pole, closed in the four path and then faltered. PROUVER saved ground, angled to the four path at the quarter pole and lacked a late bid. VINO ROSATO was squeezed back at the start, raced unrushed, bid four wide on the far turn and faltered. MISS GOODBAR trailed and failed to menace. WAVE SKIPPER stalked the pace in the three path, moved to the rail on the far turn and faded. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY AND AN OBJECTION BY THE RIDER OF SAKE (FR), STYLISH SUE WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED SECOND FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH.
