Chart notes

MAN IN THE CAN prompt the early leader two deep from the outside, led narrowly near the three sixteenths pole, dug in while racing off the inside and prevailed in a determined run. PHANTOM RIDE rated along the inside under a firm hold, waited for racing room near the quarter pole, angled out through the upper stretch and finished gamely to the wire. MASTER GAME settled off the early going three deep, was seven wide near the three sixteenths pole and rallied gamely to the wire while racing from the outside. OUTLIER dropped back to race mid pack early on, saved ground through the far turn, eased out through the stretch run and had not enough late. SOGNO DI CAMPIONE (CHI) showed good early foot to set the pace, collared near the three sixteenths pole by Man in the Can and weakened a bit late. BIRD KING void of early speed, raced four wide around the far turn and lacked a bid. ROMAN CENTURIAN dropped back near the back early on, had an inside run and no late response. TIWANAKU rated along three deep to race in hand, ridden along near the three eighths pole, was five deep into the upper stretch and faded. COMMON BOND dropped back early and failed to respond.
