WEALTHY TEXAN away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn while being chased by VECTOR, set a pressured pace in the run down the backside and into the final turn, maintained his advantage into the lane, and held off a late surge by AUGUST RAIN to prevail. AUGUST RAIN broke sharply and tracked the battling leaders into the backstretch while racing two out from the rail, launched his bid three wide entering the final turn, and was gaining late while three wide in the drive in a solid effort. VECTOR pressed the pace two wide from the outside of WEALTHY TEXAN entering the first turn, continued to force the issue from the outside of that rival in the run down the backside and through the final turn, was unable to keep tabs on his pace rival entering the lane, but failed willingly two wide in the drive to garner a share. DEAL EM away well and tracked the leaders while saving ground at the rail entering the first turn, rallied smartly from along the inside entering the final turn, while awaiting room, and finished willingly from along the inside in the drive in an even effort. PISCO hopped slightly at the start, but raced into a stalking trip from the back of a compact field entering the backstretch, commenced his bid two wide entering the final turn, but failed to mount a late bid while finishing four wide in the drive.
