Chart notes
STOP AND A TRES broke alertly then took a stalking position on the inside, chased inside a pair of rivals up the backstretch and far turn, tipped out into the stretch, collared MASTERMIND in midstretch and drove clear. MASTERMIND sped clear and showed the way in the two path into the first turn before moving to the rail, controlled the pace to the second bend, inched away around that turn, roused and asked right handed in upper stretch, confronted by STOP AND A TRES past the eighth pole and yielded in deep stretch. GRANADA FLAVOR tracked two then three wide, drew closer three deep on the backstretch, came four wide into the lane, could not find the needed late kick in the furlong grounds but kept on to secure third. ZIMBA WARRIOR stalked three then two wide early, ridden along up the backstretch, went two wide into the far turn, three wide into the stretch and weakened. TEMBO chased along the rail then two wide into the backstretch, went four wide into the far turn, moved into the three path then came back out to enter the lane five wide and could not rally.
