Chart notes
HEAD FOR BUSINESS led the way up the backstretch, continued to lead the field from the two path around the turn and held clear in the lane. MASTERPIECE DAY raced in the middle of the pack on the inside early, saved ground around the bend and chased on to the wire. STAR OF STARS tracked the leader between horses up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the three path and weakened in the stretch. CANNONBALL COMIN raced off the pace on the outside up the backstretch, swung out to the five path coming around the turn and was outkicked in the lane. GENTLEMAN'S SECRET stalked the leader on the outside early, continued around the turn in the four path and faded in the stretch. BOSS NINE raced off the pace on the inside through the opening quarter, came around the bend in the two path and made no bid.
