CON ON THE RUN sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, increased his lead through the turn, stayed on when challenged at the furlong marker, then could not match strides and held the place. EPIC (ARG) allowed to settle, saved ground through the turn, came through inside of rivals into the stretch, made a steady gain and edged up for the show late. CAPTAIN MAD JACK unhurried, looped three and four wide through the turn, angled widest into the stretch and got up for a share.
