Chart notes
TRIPPER JOHN speed away from the gate to a clear lead around the turn but was challenged in the stretch and held on. SPARKIN was hustled along to be off the pace through the turn then fought gamely in the stretch to just miss. CHARCO stumbled leaving the starting gate then chased the leaders from the inside but lacked a late kick. FAST VERDICT raced near the back and made a late stretch gain. DONNA'S COURT was always back.
