COUNT DE MONET vied inside of TIME MACHINE for the lead up the backstretch, continued to match strides while still unasked mid-way around the turn, shook free past the quarter pole, came two wide into upper stretch, roused for more, responded willingly, quickly widened to a clear advantage, kept to task under a drive then raced in hand approaching the wire. CHIPOFFTHEOLDBLOCK was allowed to settle out of the gate and rated just off the second flight, edged closer along the rail mid-way around the turn, came under a ride turning for home, tipped two wide for the drive, sustained a solid bid and secured second best. DEVIL'S TOWER tracked three deep in the second flight going by the half mile marker, came under a ride late on the turn, came three to four paths wide into upper stretch, sustained a steady bid under firm handling and ran on finishing clear over the rest. EXXEL raced two wide in the second flight between rivals late on the backstretch, flattened mid-way around the turn, came four to five wide into upper stretch and had no late response. C W PRIZE chased in contention positioned between rivals in early stages, flattened after entering the turn, came wide into stretch run and was no late threat. TIME MACHINE vied outside of the eventual winner up the backstretch, battled on into the turn then came up empty turning for home.
